The Hawk Owl

The owl I studied is called the Hawk owl. It has a long slender tail. The hawk owl also has a white face with dark feathers. In the summer the hawk owl eats mice and lemmings. In the winter he eats birds like grouse. You can find the hawk owl in Alaska, Northern British Columbia from Norway to Siberia. Hawk owls lays three to seven white colored eggs. They don’t make a nest of their own. These owls are extremely tame, and a person can walk right up to it.
